Orlando International Airport is a very busy one, with over 80,000 people travelling through it each day. The airport is Florida’s busiest, with around 80 airlines providing scheduled services, flying to about 70 American cities as well as around 30 international ones. The terminal building has a passenger shuttle service within it that neatly links the airside terminals together as well as joining up the three levels of the main building.
The airport also has a range of different shops and services, with several bars a vast number of places to eat and a wide variety of different shops. Around the airport There are also a number of currency exchange desks around the airport buildings, plus excellent internet access booths as well as the much loved duty-free shop.
Airport Location and Driving Directions
Orlando Airport is situated just 6.5 miles to the southeast of Orlando itself, at the junction of Semoran Boulevard (State Road 436) and the Beeline Expressway (State Road 528)
Driving to Orlando International Airport from the North
Take Interstate 4 westbound to State Road 408, called the East-West Expressway, head east to Semoran Boulevard (State Road 436) then head due south to the airport.
Driving to Orlando International Airport from the East
Take Interstate 95 until the junction with the Beeline Expressway (State Road 528), near to Cape Canaveral. Then simply follow the road straight on towards the airport, getting off at the 11B exit.
Driving to Orlando International Airport from the South and West
Take Interstate 4 eastbound to the Beeline Expressway (State Road 528) then head for the airport, taking exit 11B.
