Visitors to Orlando International Airport have many choices for getting around, with taxis and buses available as well as the very popular car hire.
Taxis
Located outside the main terminal, there are a number of different taxi companies operating around the airport, the main rank being just outside the terminal entrance.
Buses
There is a bus to Orlando pretty much every 30 minutes day and night, the operator being Lynx and the buses to watch out for being the number 11, the 41, 42 and the 51. The main hotel area of International Drive is also well supported, with buses running from early in the morning until late at night, again very regularly.
There are also some minibus operators around the airport, often working on a pre-booked basis but authorised to pick up passengers too. Many families visit Orlando, so the mini bus can often be a great option, a family and their luggage filling one.
Car Hire
Car hire in Orlando is extremely popular, and all the major car hire companies have a depot at the airport. It often makes sense therefore to pick the car up upon arrival in Orlando, using it to get to the hotel or villa then having it as a runaround for the rest of the time. The paperwork can be done quickly and travellers can be on their way in comfort, without having to pick up a bus or cab.
